Aboriginal Day Celebrations!National Aboriginal Day Celebrations! June 21st marks the summer solstice, the longest day of the year! Lots of activities for us to pick and choose from: Chilling with friends at bonfires & checking out great artists in live performances!! Summer also brings Alianait, the Arts Festival here in town that will kick off it's ninth edition on June 27th, and goes until July 1st, Canada Day! June 27 Film Night, Astro Theatre (FREE)
June 28 Opening Concert at 7pm, Nakasuk School
June 29 Enchanted Owl Concert at 7pm, Nakasuk School
June 30 Circumpolar Soundscape at 2pm and 7pm, Nakasuk School
July 1 Closing Concert at 7pm, Nakasuk School
During the weekend of longest day of the year, we had a few cool events on-the-go here in Iqaluit!
From Alianait's Aboriginal Day concert at Nakasuk, to bonfires celebrating the longest day of the year, APTN's ABORIGINAL DAY LIVE in Iqaluit and the usually cool sunday event, Coffee and Music!!!
