Boating down to the edge of Frobisher** DISCLAIMER / WARNING ** This post contain photos that might be disturbing to some people. Please note that the seal was hunted for food. The north does not currently :) provide rice fields, potatoes, corn, etc... BTW, mitts made out of sealskin are damn warm and comfy... nothing is wasted! What an amazing day to boat down the Frobisher Bay... lots of warmth from the sun and from my friends as I was celebrating my birthday!!! Perfect day!!!
Getting ready! Zodiac time! Sealift! That's HOW most of the "bulky" stuff gets here... Yep, NO roads to Nunavut... so... The weather here changes in a matter of minutes... foggy or sunny... :)
What an amazing spot to have some food!!! What a fantastic scenery!! As we ride down the bay... More 'bergs...
Birds!!! and from the distance, they look like PENGUINS! hehe
Seagull pooops while flying...
James spots from far away a floating block of ice with a SEAL... BTW, I have a small piece in the freezer waiting for the BBQ to arrive, hopefully in the next week or so... I'll keep you guys posted as I'll try to smoke/BBQ the seal meat!!!! :) Heading home after an awesome day outdoors! Special thanks to Parul and Arctic Kingdom (James, Jacqueline and Brian) for the wonderful time out there! Comments
